To say “not yet” in European Spanish, you will say:

  • todavía no + verb in the present perfect

You will say this when you want to refer to an action that has not yet been completed.

¿Todavía no has visto la película que te recomendamos?

Haven’t you seen the film we recommend yet? (you=tú)

Vosotros todavía no habéis pagado la fianza del piso, ¿verdad?

You haven’t paid the deposit for the flat yet, have you?

¿Ha llegado ya la pizza? – Todavía no.

Has the pizza arrived yet? – Not yet.

You can also use “todavía no” on its own to say “not yet”.

You can also say:

  • no + verb in the present perfect + todavía

Ella no ha hablado con su madre todavía desde que salió del hospital.

She has not spoken to her mother since she left the hospital.
