Regular Verbs Conjugation Method
There is a two-step method that will make conjugating regular Spanish verbs very easy for you.
In order to conjugate regular verbs in the future tense one must:
- Take the infinitive
- Add the new ending (-é, -ás, -á, -emos, -éis, -án)
We are going to conjugate the verb hablar (to speak) in the yo form as an example.
- hablar
You take the infinitive (full verb).
- hablaré
You add the new ending –é.
So when you wish to say “I will speak” in Spanish you get:
Yo hablaré
Regular Verbs in Spanish
Spanish has three regular verb groups
- regular -ar verbs
- regular -er verbs
- regular -ir verbs
Common Regular Ar Verbs
The regular ar verbs group is the biggest and most useful group. Most Spanish verbs fall in this group.

The regular er verbs group is the second biggest group. A lot of Spanish verbs fall in this group.
