How to say your name in Spanish = me llamo [name]
In order to introduce yourself you would have to say:
- Me llamo (name) = My name is (name)
In practice it looks like this:
Yo me llamo Carlos.
My name is Carlos.
Yo me llamo Isabella.
My name is Isabella.
Me llamo Jorge.
My name is Jorge.
Me llamo Martina.
My name is Martina.
As you can see it’s very simple.
All you have to do is say “Me llamo” and add your name after it.
Please note that you don’t have to say “yo” (I) in Spanish.
It’s fine to omit it.
If you want to ask the other person’s name then you can say one of the following two things:
¿Cómo te llamas?
What’s your name? [informal]
¿Cómo se llama?
What’s your name? [formal]
