Here are some examples:

This dress is horrible. I’m going to look for another one.

La lavadora se ha roto. Tenemos que comprar otra.

The washing machine has broken. We have to buy another one.

Esos zapatos están muy sucios, ¿no tienes otros?

Those shoes are very dirty, don’t you have any other ones?

El sol ha quemado todas mis plantas. Necesito conseguir otras.

The sun has burnt all my plants. I need to get new ones.

You can also use otros to refer to “other people in general” or just to say “others”. This can be done even if you have not mentioned these other people before.

Lo que opinen otros me da igual.

I don’t care what other people think.
