You can use “sobre” to say that something is above/over something else.
- sobre = above/over
Here are some examples:
La mariposa vuela sobre la oruga.
The butterfly is flying over the caterpillar.
El águila vuela sobre la serpiente.
The eagle is flying over the snake.
Sobre = Around a Certain Time
You can use “sobre” to say that something is around a certain time.
- sobre = around a certain time
Here is an example:

We are going to be at the fair around 5 o’clock.
Sobre = About
You can use “sobre” to say about.

Here are some examples:

You can also use “de” if you want to say “about”
