It’s very easy to say that you are visiting a place.
All you have to do is conjugate the French verb visiter.
Je vais visiter Paris.
I am going to visit Paris.
However, the idiom for visiting someone is slightly different.

To Visit Someone In French
If you want to say “to visit someone”, then you will use the following idiom:
- rendre visite à [quelqu’un] = to visit [someone]
Je vais rendre visite à mes grands-parents.
I am going to visit my grand parents.
Il ne va pas rendre visite à sa sœur.
He is not going to visit his sister.
Laurent rend visite à Janine.
Laurent is visiting Janine.
Nous rendons visite à mes parents.
We are visiting my parents.
If the sentence is in the futur proche, then you will have to use the infinitive of the verb rendre.
If the sentence is in the present tense, then you will have to conjugate rendre.
In both cases, you MUSN’T conjugate the verb visiter.
Also, if you want to say that someone is going to visit me/you/him/her/us/them, then you will use:
- me/te/lui/nous/vous/leur + rendre visite
Je vais lui rendre visite.
I am going to visit her.
Vas-tu me rendre visite ?
Are you going to visit me?
Allez-vous leur rendre visite ?
Are you going to visit them?
Ils vont lui rendre visite.
They are going to visit her.
